Birch Yule Log Cake with Birds- Video Tutorial
This beautiful birch yule log cake with it's sweet fondant birds would make the perfect centerpiece for Christmas and winter parties. We had so much fun making it!
Several years ago, we made a traditional yule log cake video tutorial, which you can find here on our site. It was a more traditional yule log, frosted in chocolate frosting decorated with pinecones and pine needles.
The yule log cake in this video has a more playful feel with the cute winter birds, and I love the contrast of the white birch frosting against the chocolate cake once sliced.
In the video, we demonstrate creating this cake from start to finish, including how to make a cake roll. You can find our Chocolate Cake Roll recipe here, and the Sweetened Whipped Cream recipe here.
Make sure to scroll beneath the video for additional details, and enjoy the video!
